SELAH is a three-week spiritual journey for your artistic life and your relationship with God.

Each week begins together and then leads you, step by step, into your own time with God — through one Bible passage and simple daily prompts.

The Three Elements

A bible passage

A passage from the Bible serves as our inspiration and guide throughout this time of reflection. SELAH invites you to slow down, listen, and rediscover Scripture with fresh perspective.

A shared weekly start

We begin each week together on Zoom. During this one-hour session, we look back on the past week, explore the new Bible passage interactively, and prepare for the days ahead.

Your time with God

The heart of SELAH is your personal time with God. Simple, creative and tried-and-tested spiritual practices help you dwell in the Bible passage, listen, and become more aware of God's presence in everyday life. If possible, set aside approx. 30 min each day.

WHAT PARTICIPANTS HAVE SAID

“I loved the fact that SELAH gave me guidance while still leaving me free to shape the experience in my own way.”
𝄐
“God spoke to me in so many ways … I became much more aware of God’s presence in my everyday life.”
𝄐
“SELAH genuinely strengthened both my faith and my calling as a musician.”

FAQ

‘Selah’ (Hebrew: סֶלָה) is a Hebrew word which, in the Psalms of the Bible, marks a pause – a moment for reflection, a time to linger before continuing.

SELAH is free of charge.

We want all interested professional musicians and artists to be able to take part.

Of course, running a project like SELAH involves costs. The work of Crescendo is entirely funded by donations.

We therefore invite you to support the work of Crescendo Germany and the SELAH project with a one-time or recurring donation. Your support helps us continue to develop and improve SELAH.

Donations to Crescendo Germany are tax-deductible in Germany.

Thank you for your support.

We would love you to join us each week.

That is why we offer two different time slots:

9:00 am CET — German
8:30 pm CET — English

The shared sessions provide additional inspiration, connection and encouragement along the way.

However, we have designed the daily practices so that you can also use them without attending the Zoom sessions.

If you cannot join us live, you could also find a SELAH partner and go through the journey together. Alternatively, you can book an Appointment with one of our team.

Absolutely.

SELAH is a great opportunity to get to know Crescendo and to connect with other professional musicians and artists.

We also invite you to check out the international Crescendo Network: www.crescendointernational.org

Every SELAH27 participant will receive a digital copy of the SELAH Journal by email.

The SELAH Journal is your guide through the three weeks of SELAH27. We recommend that you print it out.

Here you’ll find all the materials you need, as well as space to put your thoughts down on paper. We want SELAH to be an even more ‘analogue’ experience, with more ‘offline elements’.

The journal contains the weekly schedule; some activities include video and audio recordings that can be accessed via a QR code.

The German version will be available not only as a download but also as a printed booklet. You can order it afterwards from our shop.

ust get in touch.

We are always glad to hear from you and happy to help with any questions about SELAH.
